About Zeeen
We are a platform for writers and readers to collaborate on writing a book. At Zeeen we believe that readers input is valuable and should be heard by authors. We provide authors with plug and play technology, which makes it easier for them to present their content, connect with their audience, and collect valuable feedback. Readers become engaged and impact how the book is written.
Technology changes rapidly, and so does the current publishing model. Instead of authors trying to master and keep up with new technologies, we would rather they use their time more productively to connect with readers and promote their work. Zeeen platform increases author’s productivity and does not require technical proficiency of the most Internet tools. Theoretically, authors at any level of technological skill can benefit from Zeeen platform. As the technology evolves so do we. We actively look for the latest and greatest tools and technologies that already have a “social proof” to offer and build them into our platform so that authors don’t have to.
Our Team
Blaise Freeman, Co-Founder
Blaise is a former web developer for writers, publishers and journalists. He is passionate about education, art and music. Before Zeeen Blaise worked at Harvard as a web developer in addition to freelance and consulting on the side. He was inspired to start Zeeen after seeing friends & family struggle with publishing books in what often feels like a fragmented and overwhelming digital landscape.
Ned Lomigora, Co-Founder
Ned is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Zeeen.com. Ned’s focus is on product design and user experience. Ned brought lean startup methodology and experience in working with disruptive technologies and products utilizing minimum viable product (MVP) methodology. Zeeen’s first version of its book landing page product was built based on MVP principles, and each subsequent release follows this approach. Ned has spent his career in the software industry in executive, co-founder, and a senior management roles. Ned invented the auto-id RFID concept while working on his graduate thesis in the area of Telerobotics at MIT. This resulted in the development of worldwide RFID standards through the Auto-ID Center at MIT. Ned is a former Olympic athlete. When he is not working on Zeeen, he is a father to 4-year old daughter, he raises money for MIT Club of Boston, and practices Aikido.
Other contributors include local designers, developers, editors and illustrators such as Amy and Dan of heightandhands.com.
